Caspian Mainport Limited has recently opened two new Offices located in Turkmenistan through its Turkmenistan Branch which will support operations in the region. The Turkmenistan Head Office is located in Ashgabat, the Capital of Turkmenistan and the General Manager and the local Accounting/ Administrative functions are based there. 

The Operational Office is located in the Port of Turkmenbashi and this is staffed by an Operations Manager and Engineering Superintendent as well as HSE and HR Officers and local purchasing support all of which are supported by the Group infrastructure in both the Caspian Region and also in the UK and Ireland.

The initial vessel contract, awarded together with Integrated Petroleum Services Ltd of Malaysia, was to provide three modern 45 ton bollard pull Tugs (CM Annie,  CM Eagle and CM Heather) and a PSV (CM Supporter) to support the 2010 field development work for Petronas/ MMHE/ Technip in Turkmenistan.   

The vessels have all been mobilised into the Caspian for lay-up during Winter 2009 and are scheduled for commencement of operations around February 2010.  Two additional barges are being mobilised in late 2009 and other support vessels will be mobilised in April 2010 to Turkmenistan. 

A recruitment campaign has been implemented and a number of Turkmenistan Marine crew are currently undergoing an intense training programme in readiness for the start up as part of the Caspian Mainport commitment to maximising the use of local crews in all areas in which it operates.
