Caspian Mainport Limited has recently opened two new Offices located in Turkmenistan through its Turkmenistan Branch which will support operations in the region. The Turkmenistan Head Office is located in Ashgabat, the Capital of Turkmenistan and the General Manager, Fatima Abdullaeva, and the local Accounting/ Administrative functions are based there. 

The Operational Office is located in the Port of Turkmenbashi and this is staffed by an Operations Manager and Engineering Superintendent as well as HSE and HR Officers and local purchasing support all of which are supported by the Group infrastructure in both the Caspian Region and also in the UK and Ireland.

The initial vessel contract, awarded together with Integrated Petroleum Services Ltd of Malaysia, was to provide three modern 45 ton bollard pull Tugs (CM Annie,  CM Eagle and CM Heather), 2 barges  and a PSV (CM Supporter) to support the 2010 field development work for Petronas/ MMHE/ Technip in Turkmenistan.   

The vessels commenced operations early in 2010.  

The large AHTS CM Cormorant is scheduled to arrive in Turkmenistan in September 2010 to carry out the new platform/topsides tow outs and is expected to be there until the end of the year

As part of the CMI commitment to local content all the vessel operating there are crewed with 100% Turkmenistan personel which are operating the vessels to an extremely high standard and under the control of the operational team based in Turkmenbashi.
